1. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We stand behind our platform. If you are not satisfied with your ITAD Tools subscription, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your first subscription payment. This guarantee applies to the first billing period only and is designed to give you ample time to evaluate the platform and determine whether it meets your needs.
2. Eligibility
To be eligible for a refund under our 30-day money-back guarantee, the following conditions must be met:
- Your subscription must be active at the time of the refund request
- The refund request must be submitted within 30 days of your first subscription payment
- The refund applies only to the initial subscription payment (first billing period)
- Each account is eligible for only one money-back guarantee refund
Refunds are not available for renewal payments (second month and beyond). If you wish to stop future charges after the guarantee period, you may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
3. Non-Refundable Items
The following charges are non-refundable under all circumstances:
- Certificate purchases: Data destruction certificates at $1.25 per certificate are non-refundable, as certificates are generated and delivered immediately upon purchase and represent a completed service.
- Compliance reports: Any compliance reports purchased through the platform are non-refundable, as they are generated and delivered at the time of purchase.
These items are excluded from the 30-day money-back guarantee because they represent discrete, already-delivered services rather than ongoing subscription access.
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, send an email to support@itadtools.com with the following information:
- Your account email address
- The date of your subscription payment
- The reason for your refund request (optional, but helps us improve)
You will receive an acknowledgment of your refund request within 2 business days.
5. Processing Time
Once your refund request is approved, please allow 5 to 10 business days for the refund to be processed and returned to your original payment method. The exact timing depends on your bank or credit card issuer.
Refunds are processed through Stripe to the same payment method used for the original transaction. We are unable to issue refunds to a different payment method.
6. Cancellation vs. Refund
It is important to understand the difference between cancelling your subscription and requesting a refund:
- Cancellation stops future billing. Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period, and no further charges will be applied. You can cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation does not retroactively refund any payments already made.
- Refund returns a past payment to your original payment method. A refund is only available within the 30-day money-back guarantee window for your first subscription payment. Upon refund approval, your subscription access may be revoked immediately.
If you simply want to stop using the platform going forward without requesting money back, cancellation is the appropriate action. If you are within your first 30 days and want your payment returned, submit a refund request.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify registered users via platform notification or email. Changes will not affect refund requests already submitted prior to the update.
